What can private group training do for you?
At this time of year, people suddenly see exercise as all the rage. As an owner of my own Health & Fitness Business, suddenly everyone is on an all or nothing mission. What they eat and drink has become their utmost priority, but who has staying power?
As soon as January 1st rolls around, thousands and thousands of people start signing up for gym memberships with all good intentions, but before long motivation has gone, discipline out of the window and they’ve reverted back to old habits with their trainers back gathering dust in the cupboard.
Not in my classes!
How do you stay consistent? Why is group training with a local instructor in a different environment something that you should pursue?
Movement, activity, exercise and training (and I use all these words to describe keeping fit) should be enjoyable, interesting, varied, sustainable and progressive. Being instructed with someone knowledgable who can stop you from just plodding on that treadmill, sitting on the bike and doing endless dull cardio, that quite frankly will not give you the body you want. And let’s face it, that’s why you wanted a gym membership, to look back at a new reflection.
What can group classes do?
1. Great for Motivation and Staying Consistent
Training with a community can be powerfully motivating. Working out with peers of similar or higher fitness level tends to increase your intensity during workouts and provide accountability. There are also interesting mental health benefits to group training, particularly with reducing stress and improving general quality of life.
With that community accountability and a social & competitive magnetism, it becomes easier to tap into the mighty power of consistency in your training.
Having somewhere that you need to be at a certain time, regularly, with real people expecting you.. group classes can encourage you to find a really solid rhythm to your training. The act of getting ready and showing up becomes a ritual, which can further reinforce positive habit change. It starts become part of your lifestyle.
2. Affordable Alternative to Personal Training
Price-wise, you’re also in luck, at least when compared to 1-on-1 training fitness classes are definitely cheaper.
My classes aren’t too crowde and you get quality instruction with great emphasis on technique, pushing those that need it and adapting for injury where necessary. You can get some of the benefits of supervised training without the massive price tag that comes along with personal training, and you’ll be able to do far more sessions for your money.
3. Gives You a Chance to Try Things Out
Group classes also give you the opportunity to try out something new without over committing.
There is something on my timetable for everyone, whatever your ability. You can try any of them, experimenting with new things until something really catches your attention. Most are pay as you go, with options of block booking. I also have an online offering, so you don’t even need to be local!
4. I’m not a one trick pony
I’m qualified in lots of areas, therefore I don’t have a one size fits all approach! Whether it’s fitness, fat loss or your overall health and wellbeing, you can be assured that I’ve got a genuine interest in what YOU want to achieve. You’re not just a number to me!
Don’t thrown your money at gym membership that you KNOW you won’t get value from. For change to happen, things must change – let me help you!
